When I first started trying to build my team, my husband was a Nurse at a mental health institution, and frankly, he hated it.

He was working 2 jobs for a while so I could stay home and raise our 4 beautiful kids.

He would wake up at dinner time (the only time we ever saw him).

Even then he would just have to eat and then leave for work.

I had a feeling deep in the pit of my stomach and knew this couldn’t go on…

I had to find a way to make money while being home with my kids so I could help my husband.

That's when I found my way to the networking world with my main goal of being to help my husband retire from his job that he hated and allow us to spend more time together as a family.

When I first got on board, I was told about all of these methods of getting new people.

• Using some copy and paste messages (wrong!)
• Hitting up all my family and friends (wrong!)
• Acting like a spammy weirdo (wrong!)
• Inviting people to “events” or “parties” (wrong!)

I was told that prospecting like this was the “normal way” and that it would work great...

It doesn’t work.

I didn’t want to do all that weird stuff my coaches told me to do, and I knew I wasn’t the only one.

That’s when I came across a group of people who were doing things differently.

They were working with the same company but didn’t promote hitting up high school friends or family members with that icky “hey girl!” messages.

I learned their methods of authentically attracting the right people to me, rather than awkwardly spamming everyone and their mother.

It wasn’t rocket science.

Yet it felt like no one else was talking about it. This was a much more natural and attractive approach to growing my team and it changed everything for me.
